The Concept

By

Jets

I have always been interested in all art forms, the colours, materials, shapes and endless patterns are so intriguing, so with a craft background going back many years of knitting and textile design, jewellery is a natural extension of these skills.
On completing A-level art. I began attending jewellery workshops to develop my skills in the art of jewellery making and this resulted in me taking up and running the workshops myself. This progressed into developing a programme of craft fairs and designing and making in my workshop at home.
I find my inspiration from the beads themselves, whilst relying on my sense of colour, balance and on occasion, whimsy, when designing a piece. As well as from like minded souls who also share the excitement of creative design.
I place high value on richness, colour, texture, craftsmanship, functionality, and uniqueness. You will see these attributes reflected in my work. Each piece of jewellery has lovingly evolved, whilst on a journey of exploration. I endeavor to bring out the beauty of the individual parts by melding them into something greater than their sum. I have continued to develop new methods and techniques.
Each piece of ‘Piglut’ jewellery is hand crafted by myself from the highest quality components available to me, I combine them into unique individual items to enhance their beauty.
My designs are bold, adventurous, dramatic in other words ‘in your face’ rather than demure
and elegant. All my jewellery is fundamentally based on a silver ring (Toroid).
This has proved to give people the individuality they crave and to keep my designs fresh.
Jewellery is an expression of self. I have fun with it and have achieved great satisfaction from designing and completing each new piece.

Every piece is carefully finished to the highest standards and carries the ‘Piglut’ Guarantee.
